Use the Lasso Tool <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, Samsung removed the manual selection option to create custom stickers in One UI 6<\/a>. But there\u2019s a workaround to select any part of the image, such as text or a second subject, instead of the primary one. You must use the Lasso tool in the editing tools first <\/strong>to cut out the sticker and then create a sticker out of this cutout image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are the step-by-step instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1:<\/strong> Open the photo<\/strong> in the Samsung Gallery app and tap the Pencil (Edit) icon<\/strong> at the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2: <\/strong>Tap the four-circle icon <\/strong>and choose Lasso tool.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Tap Select manually.<\/strong> Then, draw around the area that you want to convert to a sticker using your finger and tap on Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 4<\/strong>: Customize the border on the screen that shows up and press Done<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5<\/strong>: Then, tap the three-dot icon<\/strong>, followed by Save as copy.<\/strong> You can also press the Save button but it will overwrite the selection on the actual picture. To avoid that, save it as a copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 5<\/strong>: Now, open the image you saved in step 4. It will be in the Gallery app next to the original picture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 6<\/strong>: Long-press on the image<\/strong> and select Save as sticker<\/strong>. You can also use another method to create a sticker. That\u2019s it. You have successfully created a custom sticker, which you will find in the sticker collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know, I know! The steps are too long compared to what was earlier available in One UI 5. But let\u2019s be grateful that we can at least still do it without using any third-party app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
