However, there are times when you\u2019ll receive a notice of an AMD noise suppression system error and suddenly not have things working.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This article is here to help you fix that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-can-you-support-the-feature\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can You Support the Feature?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you haven\u2019t been able to enable the Noise Suppression feature before, or just never used it, it\u2019s important to check that your hardware is actually capable of using it in the first place. As of writing, the AMD Ryzen 6000 processors and Radeon RX 6000 (and up) are capable of supporting the feature, which requires AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 or newer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-amd-noise-suppression-system-error-fixes-to-try\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">AMD Noise Suppression System Error \u2013 Fixes to Try<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you meet the minimum requirements and still have AMD Noise Suppression not working, it\u2019s time to try the troubleshooters below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-check-the-toggle\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check the Toggle<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first check should be the feature toggle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1.<\/strong> Open Adrenalin and head to \u201cAudio &amp; Video\u201d or \u201cAudio.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2.<\/strong> Set AMD Audio Noise Suppression to \u201cEnabled.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> If the option is missing, check for the latest AMD Software update. If the problem persists, consider reinstalling AMD Software.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Note that AMD has released fixes for issues affecting Noise Suppression, so make sure you are running the most recent version of AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition before trying advanced troubleshooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-ensure-your-apps-use-amd\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ensure Your Apps Use AMD<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You might also find that the toggle is on, but background noise is still getting through in some apps. It could be that they aren\u2019t using the AMD Streaming Audio Device. If you\u2019re using Noise Suppression on another overlay or app, it might be interfering with AMD and lead to both not working. If Windows finds a newer driver, install it and restart your PC if asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-reset-the-software-to-defaults\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reset the Software to Defaults<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over time, bad updates and creeping corruption can affect your AMD software. Resetting the software can solve a lot of problems. Here\u2019s what to do:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1.<\/strong> Open Adrenalin and open \u201cSettings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2.<\/strong> In AMD Software, search for \u201cSnap\u201d and select \u201cSnap Settings &#8211; System Settings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> Click \u201cExport\u201d next to \u201cSnap Settings.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 4.<\/strong> Choose where to save the exported settings file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 5.<\/strong> Next to \u201cFactory Reset,\u201d click \u201cPerform Reset.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 6.<\/strong> After the reset, test AMD Noise Suppression before importing your saved settings.
