If you\u2019re lamenting that \u201cOutlook keeps signing me into the wrong account,\u201d chances are the \u201cwrong\u201d account is an old office or school account that was saved on the device and never properly removed. This is usually due to a corrupted cache. Here\u2019s how to stop Outlook signing in to wrong account for good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fix 1 \u2013 Remove Extra Account(s) to Stop Outlook Signing in to Wrong Account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Office apps often use a single Microsoft account for authentication, so if you\u2019ve switched from Word to Outlook, for example, it might load instead of the intended account. However, you can solve this by ensuring that a selected account shows up as \u201cprimary\u201d in Outlook\u2019s own app by removing others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1.<\/strong> Open Outlook and go to \u201cFile\u201d then select \u201cAccount info.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
