If you\u2019re trying to switch from a traditional mouse but you keep getting the \u201cexternal touchpad not recognized\u201d in Windows 11, chances are the issue is due to a faulty driver or the USB protocol. Here\u2019s what to do if you\u2019re getting the external touchpad or \u201cgame controller not recognized\u201d on the PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fix 1 \u2013 Recheck the USB Connection<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If you’re using a wireless device, check that it has sufficient battery power, is within range, and is properly paired or connected. If the device supports a wired USB connection, try connecting it directly to the PC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
